Sally Morgan - Psychic To The Stars

“I’ve made a pact with God”

Psychic to the stars, Sally Morgan, is bringing her show to Oakengates this Autumn. Here she alks to ANDY RICHARDSON about being a confidante to some of the world’s most famous people

George thought Sally was a bit of a giggle when they first met. He was one of the world’s wealthiest pop stars, she was the amusing psychic hired to pep up his birthday party.

Sally had been booked by Kenny, George’s lover. She talked to George for a while during the party but when she started to reveal some of the secrets from his past, his interest was piqued. How could Sally know so many intimate things about him? They’d never met before and she didn’t know some of the family members or friends that she spoke about. It was a mystery.
George Michael has been firm friends with Sally Morgan from that day on. “I love George,” says Sally, psychic to the stars. “He’s a good man who loved his mother very, very much. He’s very family-orientated.”
George’s relationship with Sally was typical of the thousands she enjoys. Sally says: “Usually, people come to you for a specific reason. But then you get chatting and it leads onto other things. With George, I was invited as a psychic by Kenny, for a birthday party. I think George found it a little bit of fun. But we struck up a friendship.
“As it progressed, he was a little bit gobsmacked by what I could actually do. You tell people things and they can’t believe that you know it. You become privvy to things that nobody else knows. You go to places that are hidden with people. For me that’s a privilege. It’s almost as if I become part of that person. It’s almost as if I sit inside that person. I understand the emotional impact of things that happen in their lives. George is a lovely man.”

Sally’s relationship with Princess Diana was similar. The two spoke on a daily basis for four years. At the time, Princess Diana was the most famous and beautiful woman in the world. Her confidante was Sally. Sally says: “She spoke to me daily. She was a lady who could relate to the ordinary person in the street, although she wasn’t. She lived very much in a closed society. She was somebody that loved her husband very very very much and was bereft at the divorce from Charles on two levels. She was grieving for her marriage and grieving for her boys as well.”
Sally counselled Diana through troubled times and also chatted with her about other personal matters. “I would like to feel that because she spoke to me on a daily basis we got along very well. It goes without saying that there was great trust.”
Though she can’t speak about the private readings she gave for George and Princess Di, she hints that she was able to put them in touch with dead family and friends.
Sally has always had the ability to connect with the spirit world. She had her first psychic experience at only nine months old.
She says: “When I was an infant I had this recurring dream where there was this baby and she was quite distressed and someone was calling her. The person wasn’t calling her by the right name. I used to tell my mom about it.”
Sally finally understood the dream when she was 12. “My mum was putting some photographs of a baby in an album and it was the baby from my dream. It pictured me at nine-months-old. I said ‘Mum, that’s the baby from my dream’. I explained the dream to her and she told me why the baby had been called by the wrong name. Apparently, my mother had wanted to call me Michelle. She called me that for three days. But then my grandmother intervened and told her to call me Sally, because she loved Gracie Fields and that was one of her most famous songs.”
Sally’s psychic powers have been tested by academics. The renowned scientist Professor Gary E. Schwartz, from Harvard University, conducted tests called blind/unblind. He concluded that she had psycic powers and was the most accurate medium in the world.
Her ability is so strong that she can not only read people’s pasts and predict their futures, she can also see, hear and speak to dead people with incredible results.
Sally says: “At this level there’s no doubt that telepathy is involved. But I am my biggest cynic and critic. I want a scientific explanation for what I do. I take my work so seriously. I’m using part of my brain that not everyone can access. People find it so difficult to understand. It is completely mad to think that I get messages from people that are dead.”
Sally’s current tour, which arrives in Telford on October 18, enables rank and file fans to commune with the dead. She has numerous tales to tell, of putting people in touch with animals, friends and family who have long since left this mortal coil.
More recently, her work has led her to a fabulous television career, weekly columns in OK! Now, Star and Saturday Express magazines and her own jewellery range with Gems TV.
Sally adds: “It’s just, like, unbelievable. I feel like I’m riding a wave, it’s a bit of a balancing act. I want people to be happy and pleased with what I do. I am definitely a pleaser.
“I was born to serve. My whole life is about serving others and making sure they are happy. You can’t please everyone, I know that from the tour. We’ve had thousands of wonderful letters but then you get the odd letter from someone who isn’t happy.”
Sally never edits out bleak messages during her shows, though she rarely receives them from the spirit world. She adds: “I’ve made a pact with God, or the powers that be. I say I don’t want to tell anybody about a death or a death close to them, especially if it’s going to come soon. So I tend not to get those messages now.”
She hopes to read for more celebrities in future, including Hilary Clinton. Sally adds: “I think she’s being pressured and people are using tactics that she isn’t happy going along with. I would tell her I knew what she was going through.” No meetings are planned with Hilary just yet. And so, for now, Sally will be happy to share her talents with the good people of Telford.
